Special Location and Legendary Historical Story

Cong Troi Quan Ba is located right on Quoc lo 4C, in huyen Quan Ba, tinh Ha Giang, Viet Nam – an unmissable coordinate for anyone setting foot in the northernmost region. At an elevation of about 1,500m above sea level, it’s roughly 46km north of Ha Giang city center and just 3km from thi tran Tam Son. This is the “golden gateway” first on the journey to conquer cao nguyen da Dong Van, making every long-distance traveler stop in awe before its majestic beauty.

According to folk legends, behind Cong Troi was once the “kingdom” of the H’Mong people, encompassing 4 districts: Quan Ba, Dong Van, Meo Vac and Yen Minh – a mysterious land full of cultural colors. In 1939, the French colonists erected a thick wooden gate up to 150cm, blocking the road leading to the karst plateau, opening up a vast space overlooking the immense valley. Today, that gate has disappeared, leaving only a signboard with bilingual English-Vietnamese text: “Cong Troi Quan Ba” – a symbol of the intersection between history and nature.
